He is extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of Ecuador including everything from the history, culture, politics, nature, landmarks, attractions, and activities. When he takes you somewhere he always brings his insight, connections with the locals (literally knows everyone), and his positive energy. He is very patient and let's you enjoy the experience on your own time and pace but also keeps a sharp schedule which ensures you get the most out of your excursions. Extremely fit which was made evident by his pace moving through the hiking trails at the waterfalls in Mindo. He is very knowledgeable about the plants and animals we encountered along the journeys. Amazing at planning the entire day and takes into consideration what you want as a priority. Always stopped when we saw something to check out on the way. He always has the best navigation through the city (which can get congested at times) to ensure you get the most out of your day and wait in traffic as little as possible. Drives extremely well! Knows where all the traffic cameras are, where all the shortcuts are, much much better than any GPS. Takes great pictures and gives awesome opportunities to take pictures. He knows the entire city like the back of his hand. The first time I met Xavier I went to Papallacta Thermal Hot Springs. The next day we went to Mindo. And the third and final adventure was to the middle of the world museum and monument. He made each adventure unique and fulfilling. I was astonished how many activities we were able to do in Mindo (ziplining, hummingbirds, butterflies, waterfalls, tonga lunch, and chocolate tour) and it was all thanks to Xavier's planning and logistics. He was extremely patient while he waited for me at the thermal springs and gave plenty of time to enjoy the experience. At the middle of the world tour he took us to the Volcano Pululagua. After my tours with Javier I felt extremely knowledgeable of the city and ready to navigate it more confidently. When I return to Quito I look forward to seeing Xavier again!
